Christmas Yard Lights

You can use the regular outdoor Christmas lights and string them in trees, along fences, on the eaves of your house etc. You can purchase these light strings with regular light bulbs or the more energy efficient LED light bulbs.

Another option are the icicle lights that look really nice hanging down from your gutters and look especially effective on a front porch entry.

Then there are the net lights that you can get that are usually draped over shrubs and bushes and can come in clear or white colors. These net Christmas lights make it really easy to get a symmetrical effect for light bulb placement and help to avoid the light string from falling into the interior of the bush, where they would not be so visible.

Another great option is to use Christmas rope lights. These now come in a variety of colors and can be wound around just about anything, The added bonus of these lights is that you don’t have to worry about light bulbs breaking as they are all enclosed within the rope.

One Response to “Types Of Christmas Lights For Yard Decorations”

  • My father started putting up icicle lights the first year they hit the market. And every years he adds a few more strings of light. He has been using rope lights for the last couple of years and he says her prefers them. They are easier to use.

    Have a great Christmas.
